Monteleone, Pietro Antonio (Peter)

It is with great sadness that the family of Pietro Antonio Monteleone announces his passing, on Monday August 7, 2023 at the age of 90. Loving father of Isabella Monteleone and her husband Vincenzo, and Andrea Monteleone and his wife Gaetana.

Dear brother of the late Giacomo (Assunta) Monteleone, the late Anna (the late Domenico) Devito, the late Bettina (the late Paolo) Desumma, Maria (the late Nicola) Corsini, the late Domenico (Natalina) Monteleone, and Melina (the late Tony) Devito.

Pietro is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy and Argentina.

Pietro was born on July 18, 1933 in Curinga, Italy and moved to London, Ontario, Canada in 1955. He loved reading, history, politics, and dancing. If you ever didn’t know anything you could always ask Uncle Peter and he would know the answer. He was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. 

A heartfelt thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London for their loving care of Pietro in his final days. 

Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Thursday, August 10 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street on Friday morning, August 11 at 10 o’clock.  Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph’s Hospice of London would be appreciated.
