Alfred Louis DiLella

April 27, 1930 – March 25, 2023

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred DiLella. He was predeceased by his wife of 9 years Anita (Donofrio), his parents Vincenza and Joseph DiLella, his brothers Arthur and Norman, and many in laws. Survived by his wife of 61 years Ann (Kopetsky), his children Ann Marie, Stephen (Yonna), Cathy, Denise, and Janice (Tom). Grandchildren Michael (Kate), Eric, Gary, Christopher, Corrina (Dave), Aaron (Kelly), Zachary (Kayla), Dylan, Emilie (Nick), Jacob, Nicholas, Andrea, and great grand daughter Gianna. Also survived by sisters Mary and Doreen (Dominic).

Alfred spent 43 years working for one company – Dr. Scholl’s Foot Comfort Shops which later became Scholl Canada Inc. He started his career selling shoes and ended it as Vice President of the company. Alfred loved cooking and liked nothing better than to prepare the main course for large family gatherings. In retirement Alfred enjoyed spending time with his family, travelling with his wife, and playing tennis and golf.

We would like to thank the management and entire staff at Glendale Crossing, 3030 Stapleton Avenue, London, where Alfred spent the last 2 years of his life. We are grateful for their excellent and compassionate care.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Saturday, April 1 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Cremation to take place at a later date.  Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario.
