We were extremely saddened to hear the news of the passing of Bill Matheson.
Growing up in Montreal, and being friends with Gary since the first grade, I've known "Mr. Matheson" since I was a child.
Mom and Dad, Gordon and Evelyn Keough, were great friends of Bill and Gatha Matheson as well.
We all had great times at the Legion in Montreal East at the New Years Eve and St. Paddy's Day celebrations and other events.
The after-midnight-mass gatherings at the Mathesons on 16th Avenue were always fun ( the mass was actually at 10 PM ).
Mr. Matheson even DJ'ed Mom and Dad's amazing 25th Wedding Anniversary surprise party.
They tell me I had a great time :)
There were so many great times and lots of wonderful memories to cherish.
He'll be greatly missed.

Dorothy, Marjorie, Noreen, Gary, James , Donna and families,
It was with deep sadness that I heard of Bill’s passing. Who would have known that this past summer would have been my last time visiting with him. He always enjoyed his return visits to Chatham Head. We will surely miss him this summer. He was such a wonderful person as was all the family. I have many fond memories of all of the family in my younger years and then later whenI stayed with Noreen and Frank when I attended the Canada Russian series. The Matheson family was always special to my Dad and his family. Gary and James, it was nice to meet you both last year. Sending hugs and prayers to all of you. A donation has been made to the IWK Children’s Hospital in memory of Bill.
