Obituary of Alida Jantina Peirone

With hearts full of love, the family of Alida Peirone said Good Bye to their loving mother, Oma and great Oma who passed peacefully at the age of 95 on February 9, 2023. She now joins her husband Joseph, who died December 18, 2011. Alida had met Joseph, a Canadian soldier in Amsterdam in 1945 shortly after World War II ended and they married and began their lives together, moving to London Ontario and starting their family. They were married for 66 years, built a beautiful home together, had four children and always had a family dog. Alida’s gentle wit and humour, her loving patience, her many talents of knitting, painting, gardening, baking and devotion to her family will be cherished and remembered by all who had been blessed to have had her in their lives. She leaves this world but remains in the hearts of her children: Steven Peirone of London, Joseph Peirone (Terri) of Windsor , Laura Matthias (Martyn) of Sarnia, Matthew Peirone of London ; Grandchildren: Christine, Ryan, Amy, Christopher, Alexandra, Emily; and Great-grandchildren: Lucas and Ezra
