January 4, 1931 - February 5, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Sousa Agostinho in her 93rd year at The Dearness Home with her family by her side.  Predeceased by her husband Manuel (2012).  Beloved mother of Manuel Agostinho (Sue) and Elizabeth Ferreira (Allan).  Loving grandmother of Raymond Ferreira (Kate) and soon-to-be great-grandson (March 2023).  Survived by her sister Susana Dias (Joaquim - 1990).  Predeceased by her parents Manuel Gago (1991) and Rosa Galego (1998).  Also her siblings Manuel Gago (1940), Antonio Gago (1997), Fatima Martins (2015)(Julio - 2021), Jose Gago (2021), Rosa Costa (2022) and her nephew Roy Dias (2017).  Maria will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.  We would like to thank everyone at The Dearness Home for the care they provided for mom.  Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday morning, February 10, from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon.  Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations made to the ALS Society of Canada or Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners would be appreciated.
