Obituary of Connie Mazzotta - Carreiro
CONCETTA “CONNIE” MAZZOTTA-CARREIRO
October 20, 1961 – OCTOBER 15, 2022
With overwhelming sadness, we announce after a courageous battle with illness, the passing of Concetta Mazzotta-Carreiro.
Predeceased by husband Adriano Carreiro, loving mother of son Christian Carreiro. Daughter of Sara and (Pasquale) Mazzotta. Sister to Isabel Eremita and her husband Roberto and Giuseppe Mazzotta and his wife Christine Mazzotta. Loving niece to Maria Curcio and (Umberto) Curcio, and (John) Gaudio. Beloved Aunt to Sara Eremita, and Patrick Mazzotta. Loving cousin to Giovanni, Lillian, Louie, Chantille, and Vicky Curcio; Paul and Mark Gaudio, Cathy Gaudio. Special friend to Alex Baljon, best friend to Victor Marques, and devoted friend to Teresa Arena. Much -loved Granddaughter of (Concetta) and (Luigi) Gaudio, and (Isabella) Mazzotta.
Concetta loved, laughed, and lived life to the fullest. There was no greater love than that which she held for her son Christian. Christian brought her much joy and happiness during her illness. She fulfilled the greatest duty in life with the raising of son Christian. The achievement is even more inspiring having accomplished it as a widowed parent. Our family has been fortunate to have a superwoman like Concetta grace us with her presence for so many years. She loved to be around people, and she gave selflessly of herself to help others at a moment’s notice. Ask us not how she died, but how she lived.
Concetta worked within the banking industry for most of her working career.
The family would like to thank Concetta’s many friends for their outpouring of love and support throughout her illness. We are very appreciative of the time devoted to Concetta by those friends. Thank you so very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca/donate) would be appreciated to honour the life of Concetta.
