Aunt Betty was one of the most important people in my life. She was my earthly angel. I regret not giving and being more to her as she was to me. For many years she toiled at St. Peter's cleaning, cooking and shopping for the priests only to receive a meagre wage. She practiced her faith unfailingly and asked for nothing in return even though her fridge was often empty. She took the time to rescue me from a home that was bereft of hope and love and for that she will always be my heroine .
