Obituary of Jimmy Donald Walker

It is with heavy hearts and deepened sadness to share that Jim, or JD as he was known to those closest to him, passed away at LHSC Victoria Hospital surrounded with the comfort of “his girls” (as he would call them) on Thursday July 14, 2022, at the age of 60 years old.

Loving and proud father, JD leaves behind his heartfelt treasures; Elliot and Paitra Walker. If you knew JD, you could hear his voice talking about his girls with the utmost pride and love. He is survived by their loving Mom and former spouse Tanya Walker (nee Frapporti), who was a constant support in his life until his final days. Additionally, he leaves behind his eldest sister Tammy Hicks (nee Walker) who always adored her younger brother. He is predeceased by his parents Jim and Sylvia Walker (nee Boc) and his sister Jamie Walker.

JD was always there to care for, lend a hand and fiercely protect his nephew and nieces, Brandon Hicks, Katie Hicks, Aimie Frapporti and Carley Dupras (nee Frapporti).

He will be missed by his Walker and Boc relatives, the Frapporti family who loved and accepted him as one of their own, his “Jackson Brothers”, and many friends. His childhood friends Danee Fulop and Duane Prouse, who knew him best, stood by him through his entire life and JD’s family couldn’t be more grateful.

JD will be fondly remembered for his passions of storytelling, music, cooking, fishing, golf, and spending time with those who meant the most to him.

At his request there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks you to honour JD by extending kindness and compassion, be supportive toward others, sing your heart out and live life to the fullest.
