Mr Lohonyay was a meaningful teacher mentor and trustworthy adult that made an impact in my tumultuous teenage years
I have many stories of support, impactful conversations and just a trustworthy adult that was in my opinion the epitome of what a teacher console and just a person that you want emulate
I sometimes disappointed and sometimes made him proud and probably a bit surprised
But he supported and never said that was great but you alway knew he was happy with your effort whether it be academic or even in a debate and a difference of opinion type of conversation
He challenged you to debate your opinion in a intelligent conversation
And even when he was able to convince that maybe a different approach might be more advantageous
He still pointed out some valid arguments
All the while without you even knowing
He was teaching and making a better person and someone readying themselves for adulthood
