Aldo passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, just two weeks prior to his 94th birthday. Beloved husband for 62 years of Anna (nee DiFabrizio) Piccoli. Loving father of Adelina (Jeff) Bozek, Franca (Jeff) Smith, and Maria (Dean) Zimmermann. Adored Nonno of Steve (Danah) Bozek, Curtis Bozek, Eric (Alyssa) Bozek, Jason Smith, Beth-Ann Smith, and Angelica Zimmermann and great Nonno Aldo of Miah, Clara, Anna, the late Addison, and the late Rhiannon.
Dear brother of late Camillo (late Carmela), late Giuseppe (late Michelina), late Alessandro, late Mario (Irma), Dionisio (late Gemma), late Carmine (Onorina) and Tony (late Elizabeth). Dear brother-in-law of Josephine (late Tony) DiGuglielmo, and late Rosa (late Vincenzo) Ficca. Also missed by dear cousin Nick (Maria) Piccoli and his niece, Rita Piccoli, who has been like another daughter.
Predeceased by his parents Domenico and Adele Piccoli, and his in-laws Francesca and Filippo DiFabrizio, his first wife Giovina and their three infant daughters.
Aldo leaves behind Amelio Pezzetta, of Italy, who is like a son to him. Loved by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, Switzerland, and United States. Aldo was passionate about his garden, an excellent cook, enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family, he loved his wife, children, and adored his grandchildren deeply. He was a strong, loving, hard working man and very nurturing to many people throughout his life.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Village of Glendale Crossing and for the care and support from the staff at Victoria Hospital in his final days.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Monday evening, May 9th 2022, from 7-9 o’clock, . Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Tuesday morning, May 10th, 2022, at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. The family asks that those who are able to wear masks, please do so. Donations to Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
