Our sincere condolences to Rita’s family. Rita enjoyed many years of bowling until mobility and health issues restricted her capability to bowl. Rita would always arrive early and it was always a source of laughter for her fellow bowlers to witness how many layers of clothing she was wearing. You see, Rita was always cold! It was not unusual for her to have four layers on, plus gloves, which were put back on as soon as she finished each frame. She also took full advantage of any offers of more coats to keep her warm…too many was never enough! Rita has left many wonderful memories for family and friends to cherish forever. It was an honour to have known Rita. She will be sorely missed! May she Rest In Peace.

My sincerest condolences to Rita's entire family - she certainly lived a full life. I met Rita when I joined the St Patrick's folk choir - she sat in the front row with her buddy Theresa and rarely missed singing at mass. The choir loved Rita's quick wit and one liners - she certainly kept us on our toes! Rita was also a wealth of knowledge regarding Catholic protocols which helped guide the choir through the various seasons. I actually thought of Rita at mass on Apr 2nd when I sang "Amazing Grace" - she warned us to make sure that song isn't sung at her funeral - she said she hated that song as it was too sad ... so of course we teased her that we would - just to get her dander up! Rita truly was one of a kind ... rest easy, my friend ... Paula
