It is with deep sadness we announce the death of George Charles Simpson, on Tuesday August 17, 2004, dear loving husband of Theresa (Ryan) Simpson, devoted loving father of his daughter Patricia Dunn and her husband Gary and to his son Thomas Simpson. Loving grandfather of Bill, Joe, Dan, Gary, Dean, Derek and Christopher. Loving great grandfather of Tyler, Emily and William, Lydia and Winter. George is survived by his sister Marjory Evans and her husband Ralph of London and his sister in law Marion Simpson of Sarnia. Predeceased by his sweet little granddaughter Katherine Judge, by his brother Herbert Simpson, his sister in law Alice Ryan, his brothers in law Maurice Ryan and Ewart Wilson. George bravely served his country during WWII as a pilot officer completing 37 missions as a tailgunner on 4 engine bombers. Her was a very active member of the Bomber Command during recent years. A 50 year member of Duchess of Kent Legion. He truly enjoyed his almost 30 years with Greyhound Lines of Canada. His driving skills taking him through Canada and the United States. He will be fondly remembered by all family members, nieces, nephews and cousins and by his many friends who all enjoyed his great generosity, kindness, joy and laughter. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. George's Roman Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road W., London, on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dublin, Ontario, on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lung Association or the St. George's Parish Building Fund would be appreciated.
