Obituary of Cecile Marie Rita Hughes
Cecile Marie Rita Hughes (nee Clement) 92 years old passed away peacefully at the new Elmwood Place on January 8, 2022, with her loving daughters at her side. Reunited with her beloved husband Joseph Hughes (1990). Cherished Mother of Carol (Phil East) and Joanne Hughes. Devoted Grandma to Jason (Stephanie), Kevin (2008) and Michael (Lindsay). Loved by Great Grandchildren Brooke, Matthew, Lauren, and Dylan East. Predeceased by her parents Blanche and Adrian Clement and brothers Leo and Rene and sisters Adrienne and Claire. Survived by her brother Roger Clement of Toronto. Cecile’s life was centered around faith, family and friends and keeping a home full of love and laughter. She has left us with a lifetime of family memories and will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff of Ashwood Manor and Elmwood Place for the care given to her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel Vere at St. Justin’s Parish, 855 Jalna Blvd. London on Thursday, January 13th at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place in the church starting at 10 a.m. with social distancing.
