Dear Sworik Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss of this beautiful light in your life.
I was blessed to work with Karen at St. Mary's Choir School what feels like many moons ago, and was immediately taken by her most loving, warm, gracious and tender nature, which was a part of every personal encounter and everything she did. I am so grateful to have remained in touch with Karen over the years, to have her share in special moments in my life, and feel so fortunate to have even had a tea and visit with her just a few short weeks ago. She was indeed a woman of grace, love and faith, and had a profound way of making you feel that you were special and dear to her heart.
Your family will remain in my prayers, and may Karen continue to care and watch over you as an angel from above. May God bless you all, and may she find rest in the tender and loving arms of our Lord.
In peace,
Ana Matijevic

To all of the Sworik and Bialkowski families we are thinking of you. We have been very blessed over the years to get to know everyone as great friends and family. The last time we saw Karen at a birthday party we walked away the next day talking about how great she looked and that she was always so kind - one of those people who remember what is important to you and cares enough to ask each time they see you. She was a very classy woman who had a timeless elegance about her. Our hearts are breaking for you all - sending love.

When the Sworiks moved to Thorndale ten years ago, they joined the local Horticulture Society. They were much more than members. They supported our local community in so many ways, and Karen volunteered to help with our projects, events and work crews. I still remember the vision of Karen riding her green bike into town, to join us, working in the gardens in Thorndale. Karen joined the board and was a valuable and much treasured member of our team. She was a great leader in our fundraising events, and she also became a close friend to many of us. She gave so much to us, with her calm, kind, gentle ways. Her quiet sense of humour and beautiful spirit were a blessing to all who knew her.
Karen left us much too soon, but left us with so much love. We will always treasure her memory.
We offer our condolences and love to Bruce and the family.
Next spring, we will plant a beautiful rose in our Memorial Rose Garden in Thorndale in her memory.

Karen was a person who inspired others to be a better person, just by witnessing how she managed daily life. Approaching situations with such tenderness, observance, and patience, she lived every moment fully. With so many altruistic qualities, Karen was fun to be around. There was always a project or plan in the making. Her love of learning and trying new things was wonderfully contagious. Karen had a unique gentle yet dynamic enthusiasm and optimism.
Karen, you were an angel, in many ways, during my life. Now, you are an angel above . I know you are home with God in a beautiful place. I love you and miss you, dear friend.
Blessings,
Donata
