Greatly saddened to hear of Rod's passing. Having spent much of my teenage years and beyond with the LaCroix family I have so many good memories and experiences. The LaCroix backyard was always a refuge for us rambunctious boys day or night. After school swims, street hockey, movie nights, and Sunday dinners. In the warmer weather you could find Rod under one of the many umbrellas in the backyard reading his newspaper, or magazine. Never intrusive but keeping an eye. If things got out of hand a quick look over the glasses settled things back down.
He liked a good action movie with the surround system turned up to 11! My ears are still ringing. An avid gardener always required a tour around the house to see what new flower he had found at the local nursery. In my older years sitting around the dining room table sharing a glass of wine with the family, Rod would share his thoughts on sports and politics. Many spirited conversations would ensue. I think he secretly liked winding us up.
Thank you for everything my friend – I’ll be having a shot of Southern Comfort in your honor.

Dear Elise and family
I was shocked to hear of Rod’s passing. We had many memorable times on the golf links. I loved the fact that his picture included the famous suspenders. I always appreciated that one always knew where one stood with Rod. I am sorry for your loss.
