Obituary of Patricia Ann O'Connor
O’Connor, Patricia Ann
Passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, Patricia O'Connor, at age 57. Pat was a luminous soul who enjoyed movie nights with her friends and long dinners with her family. She loved animals and music and she loved to laugh. But what she loved most in life was time with her son Connor Van Binnendyk and grandsons Charlie and Bentley. She had memorable trips with Connor to New York, Los Angeles, Florida and other places. She took great pleasure watching Connor grow into a smart, kind adult. She would give the shirt off her back to people she cared for. Even at times when Pat didn't have a lot of money on hand, she made a point of sending her nieces and nephews little bundles for Christmas. She lavished attention on her beloved pets, including cat Cheesie, her iguana and her tropical fish. The woods behind her apartment were full of squirrel families that munched on peanuts Pat supplied. A lifelong learner, Pat had a degree in nutrition from Ryerson University and had plans to continue her studies. She wrote a book about a rare medical condition and was writing another at the time of her death. Multiple Sclerosis robbed her of the ability to walk and although it presented extreme challenges throughout her adult life, it did not crush her spirit. Nothing could do that. Pat is survived by her mother Bridget O'Connor, son Connor (Sierra), grandsons Charlie and Bentley, brothers Bernard and Kevin (Karleen), sister Helen and five nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father William Francis O'Connor, who died last year at 92. Visitors are welcome to John T.
