Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, Armanda Amaral at the age of 93. Born is Agua da Pau Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal on February 12, 1928 to Manuel and Ilda Matos. Beloved wife of the late Gilberto Amaral. Cherished mother of Gilberta (the late Eugene) Luz, Jose (Connie) Amaral, Gilberto (Linda) Amaral and Paula (Joe) Vertentes. Adoring Avo of Omar (Sheila) Luz, Oliver (Stephanie) Amaral, Elaine Luz (Joel Huckle), Christina (Ben) Cushman, Neal (Carrie) Amaral, Melissa (Steve) Hunt, Rachel Amaral (Conor MacLoclen), Stephanie (Jeff) Almond, Melanie (Colin) McClure, Kyle Vertentes, Cassandra Amaral (Matthew Crarvalho), Jared Vertentes, Olivia (Nick) Cummings and Meghan Vertentes and Bisa Avo to 19 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and friends in Canada, United States, Australia and Portugal. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 7 to 9 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation period. Interment to follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
