Gioiosa, Michael
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Michael Gioiosa at PeopleCare Oakcrossing on Monday, October 18, 2021, in his 82nd year. Loving husband of 57 years of Lina (nee Canacari) Gioiosa. Proud father of Toni Coulbeck (Jeff), and Rob Gioiosa (Rosanna Rossi-Gioiosa). Cherished Nonno of Daniel and Vanessa Coulbeck, and Olivia and Adria Gioiosa. Dear brother of the late Rocco (late Elvira) Gioiosa, late Donato (Lucia) Gioiosa, Late Antonio (Christina) Gioiosa, and Lena (Tony) Basacco. Dear brother-in-law of Mary (Domenico) Perin in Italy. Zio Mike will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Michael will be remembered as a hard worker who came to this country with nothing but a dream and a vision to help his family. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, and an ability to make the deal happen. He spent many years in the window business, and will be forever known as a “Windologist.” Michael had a passion for promoting Italian culture and was a prominent member of the London Marconi Club. He dedicated many years to the Marconi Soccer Club, and enjoyed every minute of it.
Michael was a very generous person who helped many people throughout the years. He loved to have fun, travel, dance at the Marconi Club on Saturday nights with his wife and friends, and watch a good soccer game.
He had an unconditional love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He would like nothing more than to sit, enjoying time at the family cottage, surrounded by his family, engaging in conversation, laughter, and a glass of wine. Micheal will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends, and family.
The family would like to express gratitude toward the third floor staff of Oakcrossing Long-Term Residence, for their exceptional care and support.
