I met Hermann in 1982 when I moved to London and started playing for GCFC. He often drove players to away games and I was fortunate to ride with him on many occasions. I enjoyed his stories of growing up in Germany during difficult times and his move and integration into Canada in 1953. He was a true gentleman and made valuable contributions to the GCC and the London community. He leaves an impressive legacy and will be sorely missed. I pass on my condolences to the Belle family for the loss of their patriarch. Jim Smith (London GCFC 1982-1987).
