Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Angela Altomonte (nee Larizza). Cherished father of Anthony (Elsie) Altomonte, Lorin Altomonte and Donna Altomonte (Chris Harrington). Loving nonno of Eric Altomonte, Samantha Altomonte and Laura (Kevin) Soetemans. Brother of Rosina and the late Joe Mozzota, The late Sebastian Altomonte, the late Concetta and Joe Molinano, the late Victor and Maria Altomonte, Florence and the late Angelo Boffa. Brother-in-law of the late Nicola and Teresina Larizza, Anna and the late Tony Zarola from London, Ontario, the late Umberto and Maria Larizza and Carolina Larizza from Curinga, Italy, and the late Vincenzo and Philomina Larizza and the late Giuseppe and Maria Larizza from Argentina, Brazil. Predeceased by parents Laura and Tony Altomonte. Carmelo is also survived by three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended members of the Altomonte and Larizza families. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Prayers at 2 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of people are allowed to attend each visitation period. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10 am. Please follow the above instructions to register for the Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at St Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
