I did not know Tess well, but I remember meeting her on several occasions and always having great conversation and a few laughs with her. She was a bright light, and I am thankful I had the opportunity to meet her and enjoy her company.

Dear Gerry, Mark and family,
Words cannot express the sorrow I have for you and your family.
Many, like myself, admire Tess in so many ways. We are Blessed to have her part of our lives.
We both sailed on HMCS Calgary and was by far the best ship on the coast without doubt and was a fun deployment with Tess. I’m sure she told you about riding camels in the desert during our Gulf deployment. Such great memories!
Tess proactively helped everyone, contributed to everyone’s happiness and always promoted a tight nit bond in any group she belonged to and it always worked! Tess is a True Angel from Above!
Tess always had a way of putting a smile on my face. We always stayed in contact via phone, text, letters/mail, post cards etc and always kept each other up to date of current events. Despite being posted afar, we never broke that bond!
One last thing to add, which is the most important, Tess “always” talked about you and family in the highest regard. Tess was very proud of you all and Loved you all very much!
My heart and prayers go to you, family and friends.
I will miss her very much, like everyone else.
Take care and God Bless. Stay safe and healthy especially during this time of worldwide COVID.
Sincerely, Pat Liscum

Tess was my unit Chaplain and became a friend!
The shock and sadness of her loss is only comforted by the fact that she lived her life! She took the vacations and bought ring or rings, I loved to see her outfits on civi fridays. She was honest and fun.
Love you Tess .

I have very fond memories of teaching Teresa at Catholic Central high school, and being a fellow staff member of her mom Margaret. I’m also proud to call her a fellow alumnus of St. Peter’s Seminary. You could tell there was something very special about Teresa and that she was going to embark on a great and exciting adventure of service in her life. May your family experience the Lord’s gentle peace as you journey through your grief.

Tess was a member of my class at St. Peter's Seminary as we studied theology. We had many fun times together whether in class, or going out to dinner or a drink or even when she would call and come to Windsor because she needed a Detroit fix to shop and visit Mexican Town for food. She was a welcome addition to our class of seminarians preparing for priesthood. I enjoyed re-connecting when she would visit her mom in London and come to the family parish of St. John the Divine where I was pastor. She has served her country and her God faithfully. May she rest in peace. Fr Rob Rocheleau, Windsor Ontario

I am so sorry for your loss. Tess was an amazing woman and it was my pleasure to work with her at CFSAL for 3 years. She was the Chaplain when I was the Deputy Commandant. She provided unerring advice, was always ready to do the blessings at a mess dinner, was funny, and kind. I enjoyed working with her and we kept in touch from a distance over the last 10 years. When I lost my husband in 2019, someone that Tess had also worked with, she reached out with prayer, kindness and love.
I can only hope that time will bring your happiest memories back into focus as your grief loosens its grip. We never move on, we just move forward bringing our lost loved one with us but in a different way. They are always part of our lives.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Padre Drabick .... when I was a Petty Officer 2nd Class, I served with her on HMCS Vancouver during Op Apollo RORO 0 and the 79 day's at sea. The Padre was one of the key individuals who got us thru that experience as it was a trying time for most of the young sailors, she had great words of wisdom that she shared.
Padre your watch is over, those who you have touched now have the watch..... May you have Fair Winds and Following Sea in your next chapter with the great creator. Rest In Pease

I sailed with Tess on HMCS Calgary in 2003. I took part in the many Sunday services she led. Tess was there for all those in the crew. While we were in Dubai she helped to organize a service with the only Christian church there, and she organized a retreat in the desert on camels. She was a blessing. May God grant her a peaceful rest.

Tess was a dear friend to me.
We met when she was posted to St.Jean on a french course. I was a civilian and I was to be a partener for Tess to practice french with as she was the ony peron on course.
Tess and I did a lot of laughing and needless to say we were not very successful at learning french.
She held me up thru a difficult time of being away from home (Victoria BC) while folowing my husbands career. I didnt speak french and was very lonely and so greatful to have met Tess . She was a dear friend to me at that time . She wiped many f my tears away.
I will always hold you in my heart Tess.
Good sailors never die, they just fade away.
Bravo Zulu my dear friend.

I met Tess while working at Woolco in the early 80's..She was always up for an adventure even then... We shared many stories over the years with a few beverages. She came by it honestly though.. I found that out when I had the opportunity to bartend for her mother's 'celebration of life' in their back yard. My biggest challenge was to figure out how to make 30 'Manhattans' at the same time.. It was her mother's favorite beverage and a toast was called for.. The Drabick family sure knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. The world will be an emptier place with out Tess. She touched so many lives and and made the world a much better place with her kind words, deeds and dedication to those around her. I will always remember her sharing stories of the places she had toured and the amazing people she would meet along the way. I so admire her bravery, strength, and wisdom. She will always be my Hero !!!
Her journey is not over...
I will miss you Tess..
ps I went to see the Christmas lights for you !! We shared a bevy. Love Kim Dunn
