Senese, Pietro “Peter”

Peacefully passed away at the Dearness Home with his children by his side on Saturday, December 5, 2020, Peter Senese, born on January 3, 1926 in Curinga Italy. Beloved husband of the late Rosa Senese (2011). Dear father of Mary Senese and Andy Senese. Dear father-in-law of Michele Senese. Dear Nonno of Justin, Andrew and Diana Senese and the late Cory. Also missed by great grandchildren Xander and Liviana.

Dear brother of Tom Senese (Agatha), Andy Senese (Mena), Francesco Senese (Elsa) and Giovanna Senese (the late Nicola Zarola). Brother-in-law of Peter Diaco (Angela), and Maria Mazza (the late Vito). Brother-in-law of the late Antonio Diaco (Beatrice), Elia Diaco (Francesca), Giuseppe Diaco (Antonina), Domenico Diaco (Lina), Nicola Diaco Concettina), Concettina Diaco, Bettina Diaco, and Savina Russo (Vincenzo). Also survived by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, and Switzerland.

We thank Father Peter Wojakiewicz for coming to administer the Anointing of the Sick and for his prayers. Our gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Dearness Home for their wonderful care and genuine concern for our dad. To Dr. Carter, all nurses, PSW, etc… Thank you! and to Chaplain Aaron Vegh for his prayers.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 3:15-4pm, 6-6:45pm, and 7-8pm. Prayers at 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle St, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11am. Entombment at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery will be a private family service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Church or The Dearness Home Resident Recreation Centre would be appreciated.
