Obituary of William Ernest Laws

Laws, Bill professor emeritus UWO Peacefully at LHSC University Hospital, on Monday, November 23, 2020 Bill Laws age 89 years. Lovely sweet husband of 64 years of Barbara Laws. Proud father of W. John (Lori) Laws of Richmond, Virginia and Dave (Sharon) Laws, London On. Adored grandad of Meghan Laws (Paul Stoddart), London UK; Stephen Laws (Colleen) Boston; Kiersten Laws (Nathan Mota) London On; Daniel (Clarissa) Laws of Richmond, Virginia; Michael Laws of London On. Many thanks to the wonderful PSW's with "Lending Hand" (Alicia, Dannie, Hayley and Sam) and their "boss" Nathan who provided such loving care to Bill for many months .Bill was a former part time professional footballer with Middlesbrough FC, who obtained his teachers certificate and then immigrated from England with Barbara (also a teacher). Bill rose from humble beginnings to obtain a PhD and a professorship at the University of Western Ontario, always with strong support and love from Barbara. He was an avid golfer at Highland Golf Club, and an all-round good and caring guy with lots of friends and admirers. Bill was loved by all. Private family arrangements.
