Obituary of Rosemarie Cecilia McPherson

McPherson After a valiant fight, Rosemarie Cecilia McPherson (Hofer), passed away peacefully at home in London, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 21, 1999, in her 62nd year. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul James ("Tex") McPherson. She was loved by her children and their families: Michelle and Colin Grantham, Catharine and Alastair Maxwell, Patti and Mike Stolte and John and Kerry McPherson. Her special joy were her grandchildren: Matthew, Charron, Wyldie, Fergus, Gwyneth, Connor, Jennifer and Tracey. Beloved sister/sister in law of : Joseph Hofer; Anne and Jack Eby; Carl and Marg Hofer; Bill Hofer; Theresa and Brian Sippel; Herbert Hofer; Frank and June McPherson; and Charron and Flint Ranney. She will also be missed by her 12 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Hofer and her father, Florian Hofer. Rosemarie will also be lovingly remembered by her many friends and her former colleagues at The National Blood Service, and her medical support team, who lovingly cared for her so much during these past few weeks. Friends and relatives will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 89 Charles Street, London, on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. A private family interment will be held at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Prayers Monday evening at 8:30 o'clock. The family respectfully requests donations to be made to the "Canadian Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Hike for Breast Cancer)", in lieu of flowers.
