Obituary of Rosa Michienzi

Michienzi, Rosa Peacefully at Henley Place on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 Rosa (Pungitore) Michienzi in her 96th year. Loving wife of the late Giovanni Michienzi (1998). Cherished mother of Rosa Votta (Vince) and Tony Michienzi (Kathy). Proud Nonna of Lisa Votta-Bleeker (Tim), Elia Votta (Julie), Julia Michienzi and Jonathan Michienzi (Terri) and Bisnonna of Noah, Adam, Nicholas, Matteo, Gabriella, Eva, Tessa and James. Dear sister of Bruno Pungitore (Maria) in London, and Anna Gugliotta (late Giuseppe) in Italy. Sister in law of Domenica Michienzi (late Giuseppe) and Lisa Santacroce (late Vito) also in Italy. Predeceased by her brothers in law Tommaso Michienzi (Maria), Vito Michienzi (Maria), and her sisters in law Caterina Bartucca (Antonio), Giovanna Serratore (Giuseppe), and Concetta Santacroce (Giuseppe). Zia Rosa will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins here in Canada, Italy, Switzerland and Australia. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Henley Place for their care and support the last 4 years. We also extend our appreciation to the Eucharistic ministers Joan and Sue and Fr. Peter for their spiritual support. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, November 12 from 2-2:45 (full), 3:00-3:45, 7-7:45 (full) and 8:00-8:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning, November 13 at 11 o'clock. Due to COVID-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend. Private family entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ivy Eye Institute c/o St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation would be appreciated.
