Obituary of Francesca Paola Liberatore

Liberatore, Francesca Paola (nee: Zavarella) Francesca Paola Liberatore passed peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Tonino (2009). Predeceased by parents Luigi Zavarella and Maria Di Giannantonio. Loving mother of Luigi (Mary), Marco (Angela), and Maria (Giulio) D’Oria. Proud Nonna of Francesca (Aaron), Anthony (Julianna), Joseph, Fernando, Carmela, and Giuliana. Francesca was the youngest of thirteen predeceased brothers and sisters. She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Born on January 24, 1930 in Pratola, Peligna, Francesca immigrated to Canada leaving at a very young age and was very proud of her 66 years in Canada. She worked diligently at St. Mary’s Hospital and University Hospital for many years and was very devoted to La Madonna della Libera and her family. She will be missed by her furry friends Tetley and Penne. A special thank you to Natalie and all VON nurses along with Arafat and all PSW’s. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 o’clock. Prayers at 3:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 12 o’clock noon. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation period.
