I taught with Janet at St. Michael’s and I was always touched by her gentleness. She truly had a kind spirit.
She made me laugh when she talked about getting furniture from IKEA. Janet had a great way of telling stories about the early years.
I feel blessed to have known Janet.
Janet I know you feel the love of our Lord and that you are at peace. I pray for your family as I also know that you will always be with them and that one day they too might know peace. Love Eileen ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Ram and family,
We are so very saddened to hear the news of Mrs. Venga's passing - as she will always be known as the spirited teacher of our daughter spearheading "Museum School" to broaden the experiences of our youth bussing them back and forth each day to Museum London to marry the curriculum with culture. My heart goes out to Ram, my Althouse 2009 classmate and his deep passion for education as the paving stones of opportunities.

Dear Ram, Shalini, Amar and Anjali
We are so very sad to hear this news. Janet and I worked together at St. Michael School, and our children were in school together at CCH. Janet was a very special person - so warm-hearted, caring, loving, so professional in her role as a teacher, with a good sense of humour behind closed classroom doors. I will always remember a little song we came up with together - one day she commented to me that without looking at the clock she knew when it was time to stop her lesson and have her students prepare for french (a point at which some students were less than overjoyed), because she could hear my cart rolling down the hall. So we made up lyrics (one verse) to the tune of Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues' that went something like this...
"I hear that cart a comin'
It's rollin' down the hall
That means Madame is comin
I'm not gettin outa here at all
Ya,,, I'm stuck in FSL class
And time keeps draggin' on
Ya when I hear that cart a comin'
I hang my head and cry..."
I kept those hand-scribbled lyrics on my bulletin board for years and laughed. May you find comfort during this very difficult time of loss knowing that in her own quiet, gracious way she inspired so many to learn and to laugh. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dear Ram, Shalini, Amar and Anjali,
I am very sorry to hear of Janet’s passing. I worked with her at St. Michael - we were intermediate teaching partners and I always enjoyed speaking with her. Ram would come on all the time to the school and felt like another staff member - the whole family is such a friendly and loving - and extremely polite group. I enjoyed seeing Janet, Ram, Shalini, Amar, and Anjali at St. Michael Parish. Her smile is so easy to remember as was her thoughtfulness and faith. As an educator, Janet was blessed to provide such a loving and compassionate role model for her students, families and colleagues. She will be missed by many and remembered fondly by all.
My thoughts and prayers go to your whole family.

Dearest Venga Family ~
A bright and endearing light has gone out far too soon.
Janet’s unbridled optimism, contagious joy, and deep faith has not been extinguished.
These characteristics are personified in Shalini, Amar and Anjali.
Janet's spark for learning was surpassed only by her profound love for her children and husband.
Family always blazed the way.
And the pursuit of knowledge was an integral close second.
A fact finder who was genuinely and warmly interested in people, community and our planet.
What an immense and tragic loss.
Janet will be deeply missed.
Her vast love of life will keep her spirit ebullient in our hearts.
Keeping each of you in my thoughts. Margaret Marotta
