Obituary of Theresa Marie Lecointe
LECOINTE, Theresa Marie (nee Jamieson)
It is with a broken heart that we announce the peaceful passing of a sister and aunt. Theresa passed away on March 2, 2020 at the University Hospital, London, Ontario. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, May 21, 1925. She was the daughter of John Joseph and Mildred Esther (McGillivray) Jamieson. She started her career at Bay Motors in Glace Bay and retired from the Victoria General Hospital, Records Dept in London, Ontario. Theresa maintained a deep connection to Glace Bay and enjoyed travelling at home and abroad with her husband Albert. Theresa will be deeply missed by her loving sister Alexandria “Sandra” Chamberlain of Calgary and her many nephews, their families and her friends. As well as her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Albert Henry Lecointe, her brother Leo Jamieson, her sisters Mildred (Wilson) Lynk and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Timmons-Smith. A special mention of her lifelong friends John Lorrne and Kate Mac Isaac and her great niece Valerie Figueiredo, who made it possible for her to remain in her home. Sincere thank you to the PSW’s and VON’s who we couldn’t have done without. Your kindness and care meant so much. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Boulevard, London, Ontario, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11 o'clock. Interment to take place at a later date at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.
