Obituary of Marj Hardy

Hardy, Marjorie Helen (née Medd)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Helen Hardy (née Medd), in her 90th year. Born on the Medd family farm outside Clinton, ON, Marj grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of a large family. She later made London her home, where she met her loving husband of over 60 years, Jim Hardy.

She was a devoted mother to her four favourite children, Michael (Colleen) Hardy, Patrick (Lisa) Hardy, Brenda (Steve) Papp, and Daniel (Lisa) Hardy.

A loving and proud grandmother, Marj will be lovingly remembered by Madeleine, Joey, Rosemary, Sam, Ryan, Owen, Renée, Serenna, Kieran, Mark, and Andrew.

She will be dearly missed by her siblings Morris Medd (Rebecca), Patricia Armstrong (late Jack), and Denis Medd, as well as her sisters-in-law Margaret Medd and Sharon Medd. Aunt Marj will always be remembered with affection by her many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Marj was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Elizabeth Medd; her siblings William, Anna (Michael) Laudenbach, Marilyn (Joseph) Williams, and Leo Medd; her brother-in-law, Father Joseph Hardy; and her infant children, Mary and Joseph.

A lifelong volunteer, she devoted countless hours of her time and energy to helping others and making a positive difference in her community. She was a dedicated and loyal friend to many, offering compassion, encouragement, and a listening ear to those fortunate enough to know her. Marj treasured over 50 years of Rumoli games, laughter, and friendship with a dear group of ladies.
