Obituary of Margaret Catherine Love

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret, on Friday, April 4, 2025, at age 74. Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, love, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Margaret leaves behind a cherished family, including her loving spouse Barry G. Smith, two adored daughters, Catherine (John) Regier and Margaret Anne (Simon) Love, and 6 grandchildren Katelyn, William, Elizabeth and Julianne Regier, Jacob and Zack Trepanier, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Bill (England), Andrew (Scotland), Patricia (Scotland), Lynn and Brian (Bowmanville). Predeceased by siblings Anne, Brian and Jackie. Much loved by many nieces, nephews and the great friends she met along the way.

Marg will also be fondly remembered by Bobbi-Lyn (late Greg Priamo) Smith, Jennifer (John) Lee, and four additional grandchildren, Adam and Natalie Priamo, Victoria and Alex Lee.

Born on August 9, 1950 in Glasgow Scotland, the daughter of Marcellina and John Tees Hutchinson, she immigrated to Canada in 1973 and embraced her Canadian life. Margaret had a kind word for all and took great pride in running Albert’s Diner (Talbot Centre). Events with her grandchildren, travels to Scotland, England, and the Maritimes, day trips around Ontario, theatre shows, legion dances and ceilidhs with her Scottish friends all brought her much joy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8 from 5pm to 8pm at Donohue Funeral Home (362 Waterloo St) with Funeral Service Wednesday, April 9 at 11am followed by lunch at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 317 (311 Oakland Ave). Private internment at St. Peters Cemetery on Thursday, April 10. Special thanks to Middlesex-London Community Paramedics for their support.
